StaticGuard media allows static potential to dissipate from filter elements. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) is static electricity that discharges from filter elements, through the filter media, and to the filter housing.
If hazardous conditions occur, this may result in explosions in headspace and the destruction of sensitive electronics. If holes are burned through the filter media, fluid will bypass filtration altogether, leading to a massive reduction in oil cleanliness.
